Sizing & Other FAQs

Q: To what age will the Buggysnuggle fit my child?

A: The Buggysnuggle is 100cm long and 46cm wide, one of the largest footmuffs on the market. It will fit until at least age 3 years of age. My 4 children have all used theirs until they outgrew their pushchair (almost 4 years old) and my 6 year old still likes squeezing in her old Buggysnuggle!

The BigBug Buggysnuggle is longer & wider, designed for older children (6-8 years or up to 130cm tall) & larger special needs pushchairs.

Q: Will the Buggysnuggle fit my pushchair?

A: Our new design Buggysnuggle fits 99% of pushchairs – I would say ALL pushchairs but that’s just asking for trouble! The top can either be hooked over the back of the seat or tied to the handles, or both. The new vertical slits allow for the shoulder to waist straps to be pulled through without undoing them – very, very quick & easy to fit! Here is a list of pushchairs which we know or people have told us work perfectly with the Buggysnuggle (please note: it is not a definitive list, so please don’t worry if yours isn’t listed!): Babyjogger City Mini & City Select; Babystyle Oyster & Egg; Baby Zen; Britax B Smart, Smile & Vigour; Bugaboo Cameleon & Bee & Donkey; Chicco Liteway; Easywalker; Cosatto; Dorel Dana, Hauck iCoo Acrobat; iCandy Peach; Jane Energy & Nomad; Joie Air Twin; Maclaren Quest & Techno; Mamas & Papas Cruise & Ultima & Sola & Kato & Pulse & Joolz; Maxi Cosi Loola & Noa; Mountain Buggy; Mutsy Evo Urban; Obaby Atlas; Out n About Nipper;  Phil n Teds Sport; Quinny Zapp & Speedi & Buzz; Silvercross Pop; Stokke Scoot; Thule Urban; Uppababy Glite & Vista; Mutsy Urban Rider; Bike trailers too! – I will add more as I get them!

Q: Why are there different price Buggysnuggles? What is the difference?

A: All the standard Buggysnuggles are the same basic shape & design. The price difference is purely down to the fabric costs. All have 4 layers of fabric (2 on top, 2 underneath) and all the fabrics are top quality, it is just that some fabrics cost more than others. The BigBug is a longer & wider Buggysnuggle, designed for older children (6-8 years or up to 130cm tall) & larger special needs pushchairs.

Q: How warm are the Buggysnuggles?

A: As a rough guide the Simple Buggysnuggles are around 3 tog (perfectly warm enough for a typical British winter). The Fur & Sherpa Buggysnuggles are around 4 tog. If it’s a really cold day I would recommend your baby wearing a fleece or coat as well as being inside the Buggysnuggle when you are outside. It’s always important to remember to remove your child’s outer clothes if you then go into a warm environment such as a shop, you can also unzip the top half of the Buggysnuggle.

Q: Are the Buggysnuggles waterproof?

A: We do a range of Explorer Buggysnuggles which are waterproof on the outside (though we still recommend a rain cover as your baby won’t be protected on their top half!) However all the Buggysnuggles will protect your baby from a light shower as there are 2 layers of non-absorbent fabric for the rain to get through!

Q: Are all the Buggysnuggles machine washable?

A: All Buggysnuggles are machine washable at either 30 or 40 degrees. Some can be tumble dried and some are dry flat. The care label can be found either inside the top of the pocket or in the centre back panel, or on the website under the product description.

Q: Are your products tested to European standards?

A: Yes, our Buggysnuggle conforms to:

BS EN 1888: 2003

BS EN71

The textiles we use conform to OEKO-TEX Standard 100
